Horis AD-AHRS is an electronic device, which includes several state of the art sensors and combines them into a small PFD display. It can serve as a standalone PFD display and it may be used as primary instrument or as a perfect backup.
Overview
- HORIS AD-AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) integrates multiple advanced sensors into a small Primary Flight Display (PFD).
- It can function as a standalone PFD or serves as a backup instrument.
Main Features
- Displays: Attitude (roll, pitch), airspeed (IAS and TAS), vertical speed, altitude, heading rate, tracking course, outside temperature, and QNH setting.
- Chrono Screen: Shows UTC time, GPS status, local time, sunrise/sunset, stopwatch, and flight time.
Sensors:
- Angular rate sensors (gyros and accelerometers)
- Pressure sensors (for altitude and airspeed)
- GPS receiver
- Digital outside temperature sensor
Connectivity:
- CAN bus compatible (shares data like attitude, altitude, position, temperature, etc.)
- RS-232 port for communication with other instruments
Design:
- Very low power consumption (<2W at 12V)
- Lightweight (only 235g)
- Operated via a single push/rotate knob
Additional Notes:
- Requires external GPS antenna for optimal GPS performance.
- Can be used in conjunction with other Kanardia instruments like EMSIS or NESIS for expanded functionality.
