Covered Engines
- ROTAX 912 Series
- ROTAX 912i Series
- ROTAX 915i Series
- ROTAX 916i Series
Warranty Period
Whichever occurs first.
When Does the Warranty Begin?
Calendar Time
- Starts from the invoice date issued to the final owner or operator.
Operating Hours
- Starts from the first engine run recorded by the OEM or owner/operator.
- Verification is based on Engine Logbook records and/or ECU log data.
What Is Covered?
Subject to approval by BRP-ROTAX and Comet Aviation Supplies:
Repair or replacement of defective components
Approved labour performed by appropriately rated personnel
Support through authorised ROTAX maintenance networks
Labour Coverage
Labour is only covered when work is performed by:
- iRMT (Independent ROTAX Maintenance Technician)
- iRC (Independent Repair Centre)
Parts and labour are supplied only when specifically approved through the
warranty process.
Warranty Exclusions
Loss of income
Travel expenses
Freight and transport costs
Ferry flights
Engine removal and reinstallation
Ground runs and test flights after maintenance
Normal wear-and-tear items
Damage caused by incorrect fuel, oil or coolant
Exceeding engine operating limits
Improper or unapproved maintenance
Unapproved accessories or modifications
Corrosion, erosion or contamination-related failures
Installations that do not comply with ROTAX Installation Manuals and requirements
How to Request Warranty or Technical Support
Step 1 – Register Your Engine
All engines must be registered on FlyRotax.com.
Engine registration is a once-off process and should be completed within 30 days of delivery.

Important: Warranty claims cannot be processed for unregistered engines.
Step 2 – Complete a Customer Service Information Report (CSIR)
The CSIR is the official method used by BRP-ROTAX to initiate warranty and technical support cases.
Step 3 – Submit Supporting Documentation
Email all supporting information to:

- Photographs
- Videos
- Maintenance records
- Relevant logbook entries
- Diagnostic reports
- Additional information requested by Comet Aviation Supplies or ROTAX
What Happens Next?
Case Acknowledgement
We aim to acknowledge your submission within
48 business hours.
Technical Review
Documentation is reviewed by Comet Aviation Supplies and,
where required, BRP-ROTAX.
Resolution
Approved repairs and replacement parts are supplied through
appropriately rated facilities.
