Following the recent announcement of SUN ‘N FUN 2026, organisers have released the official programme for the four-day event taking place from 24–27 September 2026 at Jack Taylor Airfield, Krugersdorp.

Rotax & Comet Workshop

SAPFA Navigation Training & ANR Rally

EAA 973 Aviation Youth Development Programme Launch
A major highlight of SUN ‘N FUN 2026 will be the official launch of the EAA 973 Aviation Youth Development Programme.
The initiative has been designed to introduce young aviation enthusiasts to aviation principles, aircraft systems, engineering fundamentals, mentorship opportunities, and potential aviation career paths.
The programme reflects the aviation industry’s commitment to developing the next generation of pilots, engineers, technicians, and aviation professionals.
Orion Cub Factory Tour & Guest Speaker Session
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the Orion Cub production facility and learn more about South African aircraft manufacturing.
The programme also includes a guest presentation by Kevin Hopper, offering additional insight into aviation innovation and local aircraft development.
STOL Competition
Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) flying has become increasingly popular among pilots worldwide, and SUN ‘N FUN 2026 will feature its own STOL event on Friday afternoon.
