ROTAX has issued a mandatory Alert Service Bulletin (ASB-2026-001R00, dated 22 June 2026) requiring a propeller gearbox inspection on certain 912, 914, and 912 i Series engines. The issue involves screws and an oil spray nozzle that may have been omitted during factory assembly, which can lead to oil loss and potential in-flight engine shutdown.
Step 1 – Check your engine model
Affected series: 912UL/ULS/iS Sport, 914UL (ASTM) and 912A/F/S/iSc Sport, 914F (Certified). If your engine is not one of these, no action is needed.
Step 2 – Check your serial number
The attached bulletin contains the full list of affected serial numbers. Search the PDF for your engine serial number. If not found, your engine is not affected.
Step 3 – If your engine serial number is listed
